Gardening Volunteers
Do you have green fingers and want to showcase your skills, or enjoy being outdoors and want to support The Butterfly Hospice Trust? Whatever your reasons maybe, if you enjoy gardening, you’ll find the hospice is located within beautifully landscaped grounds, which require meticulous work to keep them looking their best.
The gardens offer tranquillity to those in need of palliative care as well as a space for their families. Not only this but the gardens are home to our Therapy Village and in addition serve as a place of memorial for those who have lost a loved one.
Our garden volunteers are based at our site in Boston (The Butterfly Hospice Trust Rowan Way, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 9DH) and as part of this role you could expect to be pruning, cutting, trimming, planting, picking and tidying the grounds.
Garden volunteering provides you with the opportunity to work outdoors, taking in fresh air and natural light, which has been proven to help with mental health in reducing anxiety and depression.
